Remedial Action Plans
ViP Definition
"Remedial Action Plans are pre-approved programmes of work designed to eradicate areas of non-compliance."
By rating the level of compliance of an audit point, the audit checklist scoring system also serves to assign its priority for resolution. The Remedial Action Plan, compiled to address any compliance shortfalls, should ensure the least compliant areas are improved as a matter of precedence, but the plan’s ultimate objective should be handled sensibly and realistically. Raising each individual score to one of full compliance will not be best achieved by launching headlong into a blanket upgrade, but by the staged planning of enhancements to suit the demands of the production programme on the resources available.
